Foreign Air Operator Permission to Engage in Commercial Air Transport into and from the Kingdom of Thailand (FAOP)
 
Terms and conditions

1. The Requirement of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) No. 42 on Granting the Foreign Air Operator with Permission (FAOP) for Conducting Commercial Air Transport into or from the Kingdom of Thailand has been published in the Government Gazette on August 24, 2023 and has been effective from August 25, 2023 onwards. This Requirement applies to foreign airlines currently operating and those intending to apply for operating into/from Thailand in the future.
2. According to Article 15 of the afore-said Requirement, foreign air operators who have already conducted commercial scheduled or codesharing air transport operation into or from the Kingdom of Thailand prior to the effective date of this Requirement must submit an application form and document(s) via FAOP System from 15 January - 20 February 2024** and such foreign air operator is able to continue its operation until the Director General orders that the permission not be granted.
3. The Username and password of each user will be issued exclusively to an individual who is authorised to be a Representative to submit document(s) under the FAOP system. Therefore, if CAAT finds that anyone shared his/her username and password with others or disclosed information from the FAOP system to unauthorized individual(s), CAAT reserves the right to immediately suspend access to the FAOP system for the user without prior notice.
4. If CAAT find a history of any user showing his/her relation with terrorism, CAAT will immediately suspend access to the FAOP system for that user without prior notice.

Registration and User Change for the FAOP System

Foreign Air Operators under the FAOP system, who require registration or wish to modify user access to the FAOP system to access and submission of all documents and provision of information/responses under the FAOP system, may submit documents in PDF format to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand via email: faop@caat.or.th
The required documents are as follows:
1. Official letter from the affiliated organisation, including the details of the authorized/designated individual (limited to 3 persons). Completed with accurate information, as provided in the attached document. The required details are as follows:
    - Full Name and Surname
    - Position in the organisation
    - Affiliated organisation name
    - Email address
    - Telephone
    - Affix the Company’s seal
2. Copy of the Identification Card or the front page of the passport of the authoriser and Identification Card or the front page of the passport of Authorised Representative with a photograph and details of the Primary User, along with a certified signature certifying its authentication and accuracy of the copy.
